Home Reports Explained

From 1st December 2008 Home Reports will be required for residential properties sold in Scotland. They are being introduced to help monitor and improve the Scottish housing stock and to provide prospective buyers with more detailed information upfront.

With significant opportunity to add value to all those within the property value chain, the responsibility for preparing a Home Report to offer to prospective buyers lies with the person, or organisation, responsible for marketing the property. The Report must be given to a prospective purchaser within nine calendar days of their request.
